My father was recently commenting about the lack of coverage of Israel-Gaza, Russia-Ukraine and even the Qld floods on the ABC. He was going to DW and finding more there about even the Qld floods than on the ABC.
I looked and the ABC was all royals stuff.
ABC's really gotten disappointing lately. First Lib gutted it and installed a puppet, and Lab have decided to keep it that way.
A news.com.au article about the ABC.
This is obviously not going to have any bias or agenda, given Murdoch's stance that publicly funded media like the ABC and BBC should not exist.
Too true. But, in this case, the ABC deserve the boot shoved in. It was such a poor reactionary decision. All because the word 'Lawyer' is so scary to management.
This article doesn't mention the reported comments by John Lyon's (ABC global affairs editor), which are by far the most damning indictment of the ABC's reporting on Israel-Palestine:
More than 100 ABC union staff have rebuked the organisation’s managing director, David Anderson, with one of the broadcaster’s most senior journalists, global affairs editor John Lyons, saying he was embarrassed by his employer, which he said had shown pro-Israel bias and was failing to protect staff against complaints.
