Their plan has always been to get the cuts, brag about how much money they've saved, and then blame the democrats fopr the fallout.

It should be noted that the cuts are in excess of the agreed upon terms set by the debt ceiling negotiation. If the democratic party decides to hold them to their word this could cause a shut down come fall. Just like the last time there was a republican house and democratic president.
