I guess Reddit has already shown hostility towards fediverse in the past. If enough people do it then it just might be that they would not get all at same time and others on Reddit might be able to see and decide on their own what they would like to do.

I wonder how long it would take reddit to just filter and delete those posts
It's a win win. Either they don't go that, and lots of posts and comments say, "come join us here in the fediverse!", or they delete the posts and comments which still deprives reddit of our content for them use to make money.
I would do that if there was a way to preserve the original comment, like a tool that just appends a statement at the end of the comment or beginning. I did answer a few support questions and I don't want to subject people to deleted answers
but thats the point. reddit is making money from your answer. If you just let it be as an archive they will generate more money, as long as someone is opening your comments.
Copy the text of your comments to here in the fediverse and link to them directly. (or, at least to your profile page)
Deleting answers is the best way to show that Reddit runs on its users.
I disagree. Editing the post to be useless to Reddit, but reflect whatever message you want to tell (say, moving to Fediverse) is the best way to "show Reddit".
You can say more than just going away.
That's what they're saying.
They aren't arguing against leaving an "abandon reddit" message. They're arguing against leaving the original content alongside that message.
/shrug, no idea - lots of people here are saying "deleting" and meaning "deleting" lol. I advocate using edit terminology when you mean edit, delete when you mean delete. Appreciate the edit-delete clarification
aw damn, that was a good idea :C i already deleted everything on my account and then my account, rip
Is there an easy way to do that?
