Initially claiming she left her baby sitting in a partially filled bathtub for five minutes while she went to the adjacent laundry room

This isn't exactly a good excuse either.

And she gave that excuse as if babies don't fling themselves all over the place, where looking away for one second could mean they fall off a table or slip underwater.

What absolutely awful negligence.

As a parent myself, there's a lot of other things this could have been besides willful negligence. Exhaustion, stress, post partum disorder. She has in all likelihood already been punished.

I can't even imagine how fucked up of a mental state that would leave her in. She's going to regret this and hold herself responsible for this for the rest of her life. It's tragic

Hot take, how sad it is that content on the phone is so addictive you'd forget your baby's in the bathtub. Perfect way to hijack the mind of a tired new mother.

I fail to see how this is news. A complete tragedy, and as others have mentioned, the mother will blame herself for the rest of her life. Move along.

On top of that — is this really the type of sources we should be posting from? The stories I managed to see on the front page, before the gagging became too much, seemed to be equal parts Megan & Harry, Trump, and Caitlyn Jenner. Pure tabloid trash. They don't deserve the traffic.

For the first time in quite a while, I'm sorely missing the ability to downvote.

Edit: Ahhh, here we go 🙄
