I'd keep an eye on the moderator lists. I can imagine they use the "downtime" to conceal that they are replacing mods.
Technology
A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

better to have the site be down with tech issues than to see the site like it is. though also, they are also surprisingly incompetent. I would not be shocked if the code or config they have makes assumptions about prods state things like:
- most reddits esp top subs wont go offline for more than a short time
- a regular stream of usage of ~40m+ users per day
could be many more "we don't know what we are doing" reasons too
It's totally buggy for me. I'm trying to send some modmails to users complaining but it's stuck in an endless login loop.
I mean, it's a great time to do server maintenance if none of your users are there anyway...
Such a bad look on top of an already bad situation, of their own making no less. Unless it's just taking time for context, but they aren't getting the benefit of the doubt that's for sure.
Purposefully will convince shareholders that the slow footfall is a blip and not a concentrated effort though.
