China’s economy is struggling through a sustained slowdown, with real estate developers mired in debt, families fearful of spending and entrepreneurs hesitating to take risks. Joblessness levels among young people have hit record highs.

This is the story of five young Chinese about what it took to find their jobs amid such uncertainty. They described moving home with their parents, exhausting their savings, taking on unpaid internships or working two jobs.

I guess China is no stranger to the high inflation more risk-averse economic environment.

Took me a year and 150 applications and 10 interviews to find the job that I wanted. I wouldn't want to wish the stress of job seeking on anyone.

??

(I'm assuming you mean "shut up about China", tell me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, as you correctly say, it's a global (mostly first world) phenomenon, which, in the unique (but not special) case of China, gets its unique (but not special) flavor, worth exploring.

I'm not from China, but chunks of these stories resonate with mine and my acquaintances experience, in our own country, and others are very different.

Should all that not be reported?

You know what stfu means.
