I'm going to miss AITA. Even if someone makes it a community, it will take a long time to populate.

Smaller specific subs like the city close to me. I see that Midwest instance is pretty big which is cool

I'm going to miss the different subreddits for individual games.

Also nonmurdermysteries.

The niche little places like r/gpd and r/cyberdeck. They're not big communities, but they were good ones.

I feel like Cyberdeck is going to have no problems migrating to "The Federation". That was kinda the group of people that would help push a move like that, although, I don't know what their mod's stance on the blackout is.

r/GenshinGays and r/fanfiction are the big two.

I am going to miss my programming subreddits and r/halo. A lot of good folks over there.

I am going to miss just a lot of the lighthearted stuff that gave me an escape from work: HighQualityGIFs, WallStBets, funny, holdmycosmo, etc

I'm definitely gonna miss some of the AMAs.

Firefox. AndroidGaming, Android, Windows11,Microsoft, Chrome, SmartLauncher.... lots of various speific support communities. Also valuable ones like AskDocs, AskElectricians, etc. Reddit is a really good way to find advice from people that know what they're doing (of course you have to be careful).

People are going to hate me for this but I'll miss the furry subreddits like r/furry and r/furryartschool, there's a lot of cute and wholesome art posted there.

Also going to miss r/AromanticAsexual that was a good support community to discuss aspects of being aromantic-asexual and the hardships that come with it.

I'm really hoping that they'll eventually come here to Lemmy.

Maybe... r/Genshin_Impact

And lots of NSFW subreddits

Edit: and also r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks. Just waiting for the big new area and characters

KitchenConfidential for sure, that was my go to sub for having a laugh.

And getting slight PTSD

Not gonna lie, but for me, it's gonna be mostly the hobby relaxed ones like

  • r/diydrones
  • r/fpv
  • r/radiocontrol because I don't think many of them are willing to switch to another platform. The tech subs about 3d printing and stuff already exist here and simply need to grow.
[–] BeardedSingleMalt@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

mainly hobby and special interest subs

  • r/Falcons & r/Braves

  • r/DaystromInstitute for Star Trek fans,

  • r/Movies, r/MoveDetails and r/FanTheories

[–] Ceasin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

r/dccomiccirclejerk, r/genx, and r/steelers

/r/opensignups. Not sure where I'm gonna find out stuff like this. Guess there's some forums.
