Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

I want to start a Spanish language server + communities. Is the multi-language support in the Jerboa roadmap? I could help with the translation.

Look at Jerboa's GitHub

values contains the default English strings, values-de contains the translated German strings. Imitate that and make a pull request.

Thank you! I didn't know. I opened a feature request to make translation easier => https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/issues/526

Do you need to wait until after the translation to start the server and communities? The interface may still be in English though that may change in the future. Ñ is supported so you could still populate the server with Spanish content? I'm learning Spanish at the moment and will miss r/languagelearning and others, would like to join your server 😊

I could start the Server or Communities right now but I'm talking to the admin of lemmy.world first. I have concerns about the Server cost. Hosting the communities in an existing server is another option but I'm worried they will delete the community in favor of English speaking communities if they are short in resources.
