!trendingcommunities@feddit.nl is a good place to check out to find which communities are on the rise jn terms of posts and subscribers, and to discover those communities.

One of my personal favorites that doesn't seem to get a lot of love yet is !bloomcounty@lemm.ee It posts the comic in order as they came out in the 1980's.

Bloom County is an American comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from December 8, 1980, until August 6, 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_County

It may not be everyones cup of tea, but I thought it was hilarious growing up, and still do.

It’s kind of interesting because some of those comics definitely didn’t age well, but it’s also like a time capsule of the thoughts from back in the 80s

If you're OK with another self-plug then !freegames@feddit.uk is a community I set up for posting limited-time giveaways of full video games. I now have more games than I have time to play.
