Debian 12 remains on track for releasing next week even with around 100 known RC bugs that likely won't be resolved pre-release. The Debian release team says overall things are on-track.

Uhh... is that normal? I always thought Debian was known for its stability and long release cycle.

Bugs are inevitable. There are 80,000 active bugs in the Debian tracker, with the main repositories having over 30,000 packages. This just means that all of the most serious blocker/showstopper bugs have been resolved, which in itself is an important accomplishment.
