This is great work!

The gallery app is already on fdroid

On my end it's not showing on F-Droid, yet.

And their site doesn't show a thing because it's currently under construction

Thanks for the recommendation! Obtanium works like a charm.

Awesome. Go into settings and set the update check to what you want, 1 hour to Manual.

I only see it from the IzzyOnDroid repo. Same with Fossify Calendar. Must be coming imminently

The new Calendar app is also on F-Droid now!

Edit: my bad, it's on Izzysoft, not F-Droid.

[–] scrooge101@lemmy.ml 2 points 9 months ago

My bad, it's on Izzysoft, not F-Droid.

~~Link to the app that works everywhere.~~

Edit: got confused with the file manager.

That's the gallery

[–] d_k_bo@feddit.de 2 points 9 months ago

That's the gallery. I can't find the file manager in the official repo yet, but it is available in the izzysoft repo.

Thank you but URL returns a 404 error

That's like, almost 100% identical to the Simple File Manager from Tibor Kaputa, why make a new one?

[–] slurp@programming.dev 51 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Simple File Manager (and the other associated apps) got bought by a company, so this is a fork by a long-time maintainer that keeps it FOSS

So are they going to repackage those apps and sell on the playstore? What's the purpose of buying open source apps? Or it's just to limit open source competition?

[–] slurp@programming.dev 1 points 9 months ago

I think it's all speculation so far, but I've heard the company is an analytics one, so it's likely to try to sell user data

Did you update the F-droid repositories? I was able to install it a minute ago.

Edit. I always mess replies on Voyager, this was for @FreshLight@sh.itjust.works
