I should do family photo of my machines. Also I need to do inventory to see what I actually have to keep track because send help.

Have you thought of matching outfits? You could go the classic nude like OP, but it's offsetting in family photos. Especially Thinkpads.

The T430 mostly, on the road the X230, both have the classic keyboard mod. But my favorite is the x200 without trackpad.

Is coreboot / libreboot worth it on the X230?

Yes! It boots fast and reliable, the whitelists are removed, the intel ME is removed. Coreboot also allows you to set the ram clockspeed, if your modules support it. In my case i run 16gb of ram at 2133MHz.
