I remember reading the series in sixth grade for an assignment and falling in love with them and try to read them at least once a year.

As much as I love LOTR, Shannara, and Dragonlance, I always find myself coming back to Prydain. <3

I've never read these, but it sounds like I should.

Yes! It's definitely at an earlier reading level than LOTR or Dragonlance but that doesn't mean it's bad! :)

Oh totally. I've actually, off and on, been going back and reading some lower reading level books that I missed as a kid. Loved A Series Of Unfortunate Events and The Spook's Apprentice.

After all, I love The Black Cauldron.

Love these books. I got my daughter hooked on them too.

Always thought they'd make a great tv series. Preferably a cartoon though.

I mean, there is a Disney movie called The Black Cauldron.

Not as obsessed but damn are those great fantasy books. A staple that I recommend to everyone along with Tolkein and all of them.

I didn't even know what I had with them, my grandma got a paperback set at mardens for like 2$ and thought I'd like it.

Honestly one of my favorite parts is the enemies that get stronger whenever you kill one.
