Can't choose a display name (lemmygrad.ml)

Whenever I put in the display name I want and hit the save button it doesn't actually save it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The display name you are choosing is probably invalid maybe because it's too long. Try using a shorter one.

Hexbear users can’t change their display name at all because of the pronoun tag system

It might be too long, but also note that some special unicode chars are not allowed, and these are used by some emojies (e.g. flags). That @ may not be the first char. And that it must be at least 3 chars long.
