Keyboardio Model 100 in Walnut with Kailh BOX Silent Tactile switches.
It is SO comfortable now that I have achieved 60 degree tenting using some cine camera hardware.

Weird but cool keyboard! I have a diy low profile ortholinear split, but have never set up tenting, I’d love to try it some time.
Moonlander with Alpaca silents at home and a Ferris Sweep wireless with reds at work.
Retired a Planck with Copper switches.
Logitech g710
This is my second Ducky keyboard and I love it.
I love the feeling of Ducky but the lack of arrow keys in the Mecha Mini is painful...at least other keyboards are solving the issue with the tap/hold...
I love the programmable keys on my Logitech G110: https://www.cnet.com/a/img/resize/dac0a56fb144c6a27412bc2e0edfaca2a4dffd83/hub/2009/10/15/2ebd53d6-f0fe-11e2-8c7c-d4ae52e62bcc/4012919640_b45214b308_o.jpg?auto=webp&width=1200. I have them programmed to do select all, cut, copy, paste, launch terminal, close tab, quit app. The mic mute key is very useful and having a wheel to control audio volume feels nice and intuitive.
Not a mechanical keyboard, sorry.
Ducky One RGB since I use the num pad all the time
The keeb.io iris! Love me some split ergos
I use a Levinson! It’s awesome.
Still rocking my lil vortex core with browns. Probably had it for 5+ years or so now.
new model m buckle spring keyboard with replacement tux superkeys
A low profile choc switch sofle
Desk is a ZSA Moonlander with Zealio 65g switches
To-go is a hand-made wireless Sofle Choc with Kailh Choc Browns (internal stabilizers removed). It uses my own custom modeled case, and a 2000 mAh battery on each half.
Womier 75 with Milky yellows
Mountain Everest Max with Zeal Zilent V2s. I want to get rid of it if anyone wants to buy it off of me. Doesn't work well with Linux
Discipline 65, Giant V3 Linears
Zeal60, resin case, boba u4 / aliaz frankenswitches
Need an upgrade soon... was thinking of getting a TKL with a metal body for the first time...
First gen black widow with the blue switches at work hexkeys with browns I got from Ali express
model f77 from model f labs
Model F62 by Model F Labs. The best feeling keyboard I've ever used.
I use a keeb.io Levinson 40% ortho split at home and a Plaid 40% ortho at work. I find that the split is really important for my wrists, but I can tolerate the Plaid once or twice a week. It’s also easier to carry around.
They both have black blank DSA keycaps to make them even harder to use for other people.
Tex Yoda II (trackpoint!) 60% with cherry mx reds
I've been using a Leopold FC660M, with Cherry MX blue switches and blank keycaps, for the past 9 years and I love it!
Ergodox -- I wish I had ordered a moonlander instead, but I'm digging it. I use colemak-dh with a QWERTY later for gaming.
Really as long as it's ortholinear I'm happy. Blows my mind how many mechanical keyboard aficionados are still on row stagger torture devices.
Hexgears with brown switches .better than rubber domes, and doesn't disturb coworkers. I use a model m by choice, but often that isn't socially allowed .
Metal Keychron K12, with Gateron Yellows. I'm way too lazy to lube the switches and stabs, but it's a great little keeb
SPC Gear GK630K Tournament Kailh brown
Keychron K10, and I love it!
Filco Maj 2 Brown. I even bought 2 backup ones to keep it forever. First one still going strong after 5 years.
Tex Shinobi. It's trackpoint or nothin'!
An old Mionix Zibal 60. I need to replace the switch on the F2 key cause the peg broke off (still usable but it can't have a keycap now). Thing's awesome, and heavy enough to kill a man (one advertising point was: "rage proof" lol). I've had it almost a decade and I don't think I'll ever move on from it.
Keychron K6 Pro QMK/VIA
Originally with their brown tactiles but now with linear Akko matcha greens
Keychron Q6 (ISO, no knob)
Gateron Oil Kings
Some unbranded BoB keycaps (Cherry profile)
I didn't intend my board to be 100% black plastic but that's how it turned out, and it's not bad!
Keebio Sinc Rev 4.
Boardsource Lulu with gazzew u4t
Nice post. Will use this thread to get a new one. What do you use?
Ducky one 2 mini. I very much miss arrow and function keys. Arrows the most though.
I'm using a Keychron C1 with Gateron red switches, switched over from my failing Logitech G513 Carbon with Romer G switches. It's definitely got higher latency (and it is hindering my speed in Tetris), but the typing feel is for sure an upgrade.
Looking into getting a Wooting Lekker keyboard, but I'm bummed there's no TKL or 75% version.
Currently an old Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, hoping to get a Moonlander for Christmas
8BitDo retro keyboard. Honestly I'm blown away by the quality and feel of this thing. They did an incredible job.
Ergodox-EZ with diy tenting and a mix of box jade and Boba U4s, MT3 profile caps.
Work (i.e. "the left side of my desk"): the cheapest hotswap 1800 layout I could find on Amazon Warehouse deals (Magegee Sky98 I think), with EVA foam and some random metal weights glued inside the case bottom, tape mod, red outemu changed out for green, and some low-profile XVX keycaps I won on a reddit giveaway a while ago.
Home (right side of the desk): The DIY handwire TKL-like that I posted the other day, with aluminum and oak sandwich case, Box Navies, and "VSA" keycaps with DSA F-row.
Sofle RGB and a Perrix Periboard 535 at work.
My daily driver is a highly modified Keychron K4v2. Its running SonixQMK, I custom assembled and lubed the switches, modified the key caps to be compatible, and hand built the ALU base.
I am also working on 2 custom Hiney H87C's but lots left to do on those projects.
Keychron Q5, knob version. Tecsee coral tactile switches and akko keycaps.
I have a $30 razer wired keyboard. I'm OK with it but I really want to build my own, I just haven't been able to find a kit that's not crazy expensive.
Here's what I did: get a keyboard with hotswap switches and qmk/via support.
I'm using the Keychron K3 pro (low profile, only supports gateron and keychron non-optical low profile switches) with the Q0 numpad. (Before that I've used a Glorious GMMK full-size v1, those and similar hotswap boards should be very cheap by now but might not bring support for VIA)
Then you can either try a shitton of various switches for rather cheap (gateron oil king, kailh box white, gateron clear for 35g linears, gateron yellow for cheap pre-lubed linears, zeal pc switches, or silent alpacas with custom springs and two types of krytox lube and deskeys films might be what you're into, i dunno) or once you've found something you like, proceed to mod the everloving shit out of them.
You could also try the vintage route, in which case places like craigslist or facebook marketplace (?) should be good options if you're outside germany, or something like ebay Kleinanzeigen if you're not. On this route, sites like Deskthority.net (esp. the wiki) or Geekhack should give you a lot of info.
Looking back, the most critical thing you can do is to find out what switches you like and which ones you don't.
For linears, that would be spring strength and if you prefer low-profile or regular profile switches. The sound doesn't really matter, since it can be dramatically improved with lubing. Lube tl;dr: Krytox(-like) oil is 1xx, grease is 2xx. Higher number means thicker consistency (more viscous liquid), good starting point is gpl205. Also, remember that Teflon-based lubricants are almost impossible to remove with regular solvents and that if you touch them with your hands (which you shouldn't) try to wash your hands before smoking cigarettes, otherwise you'll get nasty decomposition products like hydrogen flouride that will kill your pets in low concentrations and give you polymer fume fever.
For tactiles, it's a binary thing: you like them, or you absolutely don't. It took me a long time to realise through tons of wasted money (several returned logitech mx mechanical, old dinovo edge, etc) that even in light variants like the niz plum (topre clone) i can tolerate them on game controller buttons at most.
The clicky switches are best summarized by this page: https://deskthority.net/wiki/clicky
Good luck!
It's an analog gaming keyboard but I'm not a gamer: I'm a programmer in search of something to type fast in VI, and this keyboard sure lets me do exactly that. Occasionally, I play Duke Nukem 3D with it, and the analog functionality actually works in that old game. Brilliant!
