Wait, NATO thought it might be Ukrainian in origin? Even for a second?

Almost like NATO isn't a one-sided propaganda machine after all

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It's not only propaganda machine, it also murders and/or robs a lot of people.

It's almost like NATO is filled with military brass who know better than to invite a nuclear war on themselves, even as they work tirelessly to undermine and destabilise America's biggest geopolitical rival through both covert and overt means.

Almost like NATO doesn't want to go into a direct conflict with Russia over Ukraine.

He said they were russian missiles. Now imagine how many more ukranian mistakes were labeled as russian strikes by him just so he saves face. The west usually backs his claims, but now the stakes are too high.

Double negative

The worst thing is that he lied about the origin of the missile, only to escalate the war.

Ukraine has been desperate to try and get direct NATO involvement since the war started. Cynically using this as an opportunity to turn the war into a direct conflict between Russia and NATO is par for the course.

The only way out for the current Ukrainian state would be NATO direct involvement. Without a Korean war style intervention from US/NATO troops Ukraine faces a steady loss of a war of atrition

Apparently this is still a controversial idea for a lot of people.

Ukraine always, without any evidence, rushes to blame anything on Russia - including the continuous shelling of Donets, which is populated by Russian, and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is also under Russia's control, and so on. And it works in their favor as most people only read the headlines and the MSM does not follow up to debunk Ukraine's original claims. But more and more people I know in America who now start to question everything that comes out of Zelensky's mouth as in most cases it's the same tiring rhetoric and more often than not - lies and huge exaggerations and pure hatred against anything Russian.
