Talk about whatever, respecting the rules established by Lemmygrad. Failing to comply with the rules will grant you a few warnings, insisting on breaking them will grant you a beautiful shiny banwall.

A community for comrades to chat and talk about whatever doesn't fit other communities

I was here before all that. I hate opening lemmy and seeing the same posts and libs ranting about same shit.

That just means we must post harder, comrade. sankara-salute

just browse by Local and you'll avoid the vast majority of it

New is just for sorting rather than a distinct browsing category, but Subscribed works too as long as you already know which communities you care about

Ah so this is why I've been left all alone in the trenches 😔

I expected shitty liberal takes.

I didn't expect them to be that formulaic and repetitive with their passive-aggressive "totally not mad" smuglord delivery style that most of them had in common.

I find it funny that

It's interesting that

It's hilarious that

I like it that

I love it that

It's almost as if

if they post that way they can always seem smugly above it all, especially when delivering some "you are deranged/unhinged/delusional" zinger toward anyone to the left of Pete Buttigieg, sometimes topped off with a "WHO HURT YOU?" for extra condescension. smuglord

At least it's a start of a move away from reddit.

Good point - someone with a lemmy account can transfer to more sane waters much easier than someone who's got their roots down in reddit

I honestly think that, as "default" instances like lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works start taking on a more defined political identity, we'll start to see a more stable Fediverse environment where those sorts of politics are contained to their home instances, while niche-related instances (programming.dev, ttrpg.network, yiffit, etc.) are mainly focused on hobby discussion.

I feel a great swell of pity for those lost souls... and then I proceed to dunk on them.

All the enlightened grandstanding centrists kind of make me cringe at times along with all the defederation drama
