One movie from this list I absolutely adore is Psycho Goreman. More funny than scary.

Frailty. Don't read about it just go watch it, fantastic small film from 2001.

Definitely recommend 89. Lake Mungo if you’ve not seen it yet. Go in cold if possible

I didn't read this list just now, but I did get a shit ton of horror recommendations off of r/horror and watched a bunch of them. I can recommend only a handful, but I absolutely loved, in order of best to least best:

-A Dark Song

-The Night House

-1408

-His House

-Anything for Jackson

-In the Mouth of Madness

I'm also accepting recommendations at this time :)

Edit: apologies to all who got bummed out by my shitty formatting

My god. You do know that commas exist, right?

Edit: Don't wanna sound like a dick, and it may be that app I'm using, but these are all unseparated by spacing or commas for me.

Shit sorry. I was just using a single carriage return. Looked nice and neatly formated on jebora. I'll fix it

[–] iltoroargento@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 11 months ago

Lol no worries. I was being dramatic for effect as well.

Fwiw, you have to add another break between each line if you want them to be separated. Or you could add a dash or numbers and a period before each line to make a list.

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Thanks, I didn't realize. I'll fix it

I'm assuming the ratings go from best to worst as super dope>awesome>decent>wack. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the first two.

[–] ech@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

You missed 'Fucking Awesome' above (I assume) 'Awesome', though it's only used for Tucker and Dale.

[–] Jerkface@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Super dope.

Phantasm and the sequels

The reanimator sequels

Prince of darkness

All classic 80s

I would encourage everyone to ignore this guys rating of malignant as wack, my fav of 2021. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Not a fan myself of horror movies, but SO is, so, already sent it her way. Thanks for sharing!

Now she's gonna nag me to watch em with her, oh the horror.
