But famous is the thing he's kinda always been in my memory. I remember him on the TV for various reasons all the way back to the 80s and 90s. He always seemed to be a total dickhead. Nobody even pretended to like him. When he started edging into politics it was like you're kidding right? This guy? Turns out being the most full of shit is a recipe for success after all. The only surprise is just how bad he is, not that he is bad. No matter what he gets, he'll really never get what he deserves.

I remember hearing about this fraud years and years ago, around the time he first began dabbling in politics during the Obama administration. It was supposedly widely known among people involved in New York local issues. Why did it take all this time to land a conviction?

There's still a big difference between "everybody knows" and incarceration. Thankfully, in many cases. Let's hope they get the paperwork and ceremony in order and justice will prevail.

I can believe that Trump did that. He did go bankrupt once.
