I'm playing with Buffstreams and Vipleague to get the US Open. That's fine on desktop, where I can use Brave with uBlock to kill all the malware and bullshit.

But on iOS, everything's fucked with popovers, etc. I have 1Blocker, but it doesn't do enough, so I never get to the streams. If I use another browser I'm just going to infect myself.

Why do I care? I want to use my ipad to cast to my apple tv. It's not just for today, I'll watch plenty of other sports. I'm damned if I'm paying $75/mo to Hulu.

What should I actually be doing here? Is there some native app for an apple tv that will frontend sports streams? Maybe there's an ipad app or a different content blocker?

I don't know what I don't know :)

Orion Browser allows full extensions such as ublock origin. That helps but I found even if the steam plays on the iOS device the Airplay stream won't work due to some odd encoding the website is doing.

If you find a solution, let me know.

For the time being I'm using this website, and cast it via Chromecast to my TV: https://stream2watch.pk/

Yep, will do. I just tried that on mobile Safari and it stomped all over 1Blocker and opened like 9 tabs 😂

Hi. I just tried the link to watch some cricket as an example on the Orion browser with ublock installed. No popups at all :)

Interesting. Can you share how you installed uBlock on Orion on iOS?

Probably the macOS version. Although uBlock can be installed on the iOS version, but it probably doesn't fully work (the popup doesn't even open).

I just tried using Safari + AdGuard and it worked fine. No popups, ads whatsoever.

The main page works fine. It's the stream links that pop everything up.

I tried watching a soccer game and it worked fine too. shrug

There are a few good iptv providers out there. They cost only a few bucks per month and will get you almost every channel in the world including sports and ppv. They claim to be “totally legit” and “btw we only accept bitcoin”.

It should go without saying but your next phone needs to not be an iPhone.
