I am running the game on wayland.
How are you running it?
through lutris. i've tried creating a prefix manually, copying over the game files and then adding it to lutris, and also tried running the installer through lutris.
In the runner debug options for the game ( here) choose "Inherit from the environment" and upload the log to something like pastebin.
Didnt have time today, hopefully ill be back tomorrow with the log
You could try adding it to steam and running it with a proton version
