Im fairly new, do the core rulebook and faction codexes / indexes get updated with this dataslate, or do i have to keep track of these?

As of now at least it doesn't look like they're going back and changing the core rulebook / index downloads from Warhammer Community, which is a huge bummer since it's all digital anyway. I keep a copy of the most current balance dataslate printed out for reference but I really hope long term they embrace the benefits of digital rules more.
Plus side at least, they're updating it in the 40k app if you have that. For example the Death Guard got a massive buff to their Contagion ability and that's reflected in their detachment rules under the app if you look them up.
Thats a bummer, keeping track of changes like that seems... tedious lol.
Good to know about the app though, ill make sure to get that.
