They did publish few chapters after he passed away. His best friend is drawing the panels I believe.

Yeah, even the last chapter (made by Miura) ending can be taken as an open ending.

It will "only" be a new chapter. Things appear to be moving towards a climax, but I'd expect at the very least 20 more chapters, more likely 50+ more.
