I am using hetzner.com for my servers, and Lemmy is hosted time4vps.com. But I am curious about other providers that you can recommend, especially ones that arent under strict laws like this.

I usually host my stuff at Netcup.eu. The prices in the low range are pretty good (I am paying about 8.5€ for 4C/10GB and 300GB space, though this was a special offer, which they publish every first Tuesday per month).

I've used virpus in the past since they have a cheap $25 a year box. Linode is also nice. I usually just use Google Clouds always free tier for stuff I can containerize though.
