This Aussie is insane. I had to split this movie of a youtube video in like 3-4 sessions.

Watch it for the journey, not the result.

That thumbnail without DeArrowing is fucking horrid.

Please help me as a non-native english speaker out: What is DeArrowing? Or what do you mean by it? Google turned up nothing helpful.

Wow! I didn't know such an extension exists! Thank you! Searching for "DeArrowing" instead of "DeArrow" threw my results off.

Edit: On second thought, it's a paid extension... meh

I don't think so? It's free to install on Firefox.

At least for me this is what I get when trying to install it. I have to request free access manually. I don't like that business model.

DeArrow developer here

To clarify on what it happening, the extension was free for everyone while it was in beta, but as originally described on the website and install page, there is now a soft paywall for new users only. Those beta users also have a license key that they are encouraged to share with others if they would like :)

I understand you may not want to use this at all as a principal, which is fine, but I'll explain the different things I've done to make this better.

  • The extension and server source code are FOSS and self hostable
  • The database is public and downloadable as with my other extension SponorBlock (https://sponsor.ajay.app/database)
  • License keys are encouraged to be shared
  • There is an option to request free access
  • The payment option is one time forever

I understand if you still don't want to use it though :)

Also if you want, here is a key :P FVE2Q-a3442

Yes, he is insane.

Aqueous electrolysis is that sort of thing that even a 10yo kid can do at home*. Igneous electrolysis though? Chemistry knowledge isn't enough, you need technical skills. He clearly had none at the start of the video, that's why it took him so long - he learned it as he did it.

*I did it with small plastic soda bottles, pencil leads, aquarium tubes, and super glue. I stopped using it after I found a better source of hydrogen - aluminium cans and lye.

Some kids are gonna put their dad's laptop in the bathtub.
