We cannot cave in just because one country points at nukes, and Russia hasn't made a direct threat either. This shit and all the Russian tv-shows with bedlamites talking about nuking Britain are made purely to spread fear. Just change side and go back to sleep.

I don't really see why people think there's any real significance to Finland or Sweden joining NATO as these countries don't have any significant military power.
Apparently, enough signifiance to cause the moving of Russian nukes to the Finnish border ...
Of course Russia will respond to such a provocation. However, that doesn't mean that the situation has fundamentally changed. Had Russia attacked Sweden or Finland in the past, the response from NATO would've been exactly the same as it would be had they been accepted.

I think that's less than certain. Who's to say that NATO's response wouldn't be closer to the Ukraine war, keeping a strong thumb on the scale while avoiding escalations that might lead to Russia launching nukes? I don't think anything less than a treaty obligation would pull NATO in.
