Just my suggestion/guide, note I am only saying Intel because where I am there's a large amount of ex government/school/company disposal laptops that are Intel. Look for an laptop with at least 4 gb ram. The more ram the better, like 8gb. You definitely won't need alot of ram for internet and email but more allows it to be stable. For CPU Intel then a i5 would be okay. An i7 that's a few years old would be great. If newer an i3 is fine but I personally think older i3s are a bit slow. For hard drive you need only a small hard drive like 200 gb, you can use external usbs later. If possible get a solid state drive ssd any size for the speed

Check a local ewaste site they usually have good deals on used laptops. Battery wise not the best though
