So far this gpu gen has been a disappointment on both sides for me so I hope these next announcements are good.

I can't see how they will be. We know the performance of the high end is not a large generational improvement and they can't compete with what they've already launched. That means what's left is to release... a 7800 that performs about the same as a 6800? Wow.

All they can do is price them aggressively so that they are more appealing than the 6000 generation, but I would be shocked if they do. It hasn't been their MO recently.

I'd like to upgrade my graphics card, and I'm honestly wanting effectively a 7700xt equivalent. I'd like to not spend over $500, but I've got a 5700XT and I don't want to just go one generation up at this point. So I guess I wait.

I have the 6900xt, it's a beast :) Had it for a year now or so.
