Come on'n get your jamaharon on! There are no real rules—just don't break the weather control network.

This instance is my first real foray into the Fediverse (aside from an unused Mastodon account) and it's been smooth sailing compared to the issues some other places have suffered through.
It's because SysAdmin does a level 10 diagnostic every day. Also the lower deckers here keep the shitposts fresh and anytime you need jamaharon you just pop on over to /c/Risa. What more could a holographic memer need?
So what I'm understanding is that the big plot twist is that we're all holograms??! Really? Talk about predictable and boring.
I, for one, am completely and utterly shocked!
You seemed to have escaped from startrek.website over to lemm.ee. I hope somebody let them know!
Don't put me back in the holodeck! I'm real, I tell you!
There is one android, the rest of us are holographs.
Hey, I kinda liked that episode.
Yep, made a backup account on this instance since lemmy.world is constantly down
Au contraire mon capitan!
Can't even blame em. Started out in lemmy.world and switched to startrek.website the first time .world went out and someone explained to me how that works with being overloaded. Haven't looked back sense. The local timeline is awesome, the federation is awesome. It really showcases the benefit of a federated service. It made Lemmy such a great replacement for me, whereas before I was struggling to get into lemmy.
Stories like this make me very happy to hear. When I heard the /r/StarTrek and Daystrom mods talking about joining Lemmy I'd thought bringing their reputation for positivity and tolerance to a Trek-themed instance could provide a familiar and comfortable jumping-off point for users unsure about the broader Fediverse.
Honestly it has made the reddit transition so much easier. I genuinely don't miss reddit at all anymore since I've found this one. Thanks for all that y'all do!
Daystrom does some great moderation
I've stuck with my "main" on lemmy.ml, as I've had it since before the migration ... but the only other "alt" I have is on startrek.website ... as it should be!
The local timeline is awesome, the federation is awesome.
Also, Star Trek fans have expertise in the Federation.
Would be nice if they were some way to see local from other instances.
Just visit the site and select local tab. (You can't interact with anything tho unless you've got an account there)
It makes sense why. You have a smaller instance here catering to one topic, which seems to be the intent of the developers.
This isn't a different version of Reddit, but a collection of Star Trek related subs that would have been on Reddit.
startrek.website is insidious. If you use it long enough, you begin to like it.
Just like that hew-mon root beer barf
Dang, thanks to the federation I just found this instance. Heck yes!
The Federation?!
I agree. This and sigmarxism have filled the only two holes that were left in me after getting banned from Reddit
Wait, where is sigmarxism?
FACT
Have you ever walked out of a mall, into a huge parking area, and realized you've forgotten where you've parked your car?
My favorite thing about federation is finally being able to subscribe to startrek.website!
...how do you subscribe to other instances?
You go to the instance, open the sidebar, and hit the subscribe button
I'm excited to be federated with startrek.website. My partner and I have been watching all 90s Trek by air date. TNG just finished up, DS9 is really getting into the swing of things, and Voyager just start. This is my first time with most of DS9 and all of Voyager, so it's been a fun ride.
Wow, what I wouldn't give to erase my memory and watch some of those shows for the first time again.
I'm currently doing a rewatch of DS9 and I stand by my opinion that the second season is loaded with good episodes; most people shrug off the first two seasons and say the show doesn't get good until the third season but not me.
I agree with you! Those were the seasons I had watched originally and I admittedly fell off. Coming back this time, I really enjoyed them. It does a great job of establishing the characters and their motivations. I know these characters get thrown through the ringer (hell, they already are) and it seems smart in retrospect to let you know who these people are outside of a crisis for a bit.
I've watched ds9 more times than I care to admit, and I totally agree. The second season isn't the best season, but it's damn good. Honestly, it's sisko that doesn't get good until later. Dude needed to find his footing, but that's one of the things that makes it so good. It felt real. He was coming off a major loss, a major shift in his career, and now he's got a shape shifting cop, ferengi bartenders, filthy, filthy spoon heads on his flank, and he has to deal with the very uncomfortable nature of being quasi-worshipped by an entire planet. That's a tough transition!
I really wish I could erase Stargate to watch again
YAAH EXTRFA JAMAHARON!!!!!!!! LETS AL:L GO TO RISA AND GET VBIC FOBNTAINE TO SING!!! !YAH!!!!!!
Great accomplishment guys, lets go conquer the Tzenkethi!!!!!!!
Really miss ShittyDaystrom here, though!
This meme is great.
