The scariest part of that story is as soon as the religious right gained control they instantly nuked all the blue states.
I used to fantasize about California joining with Washington and Oregon and splitting off from the rest of the US, but then one day I realized the rest of the US would almost instantly devolve into a dangerous theocracy and go to war with the western states who would be heavily outgunned
The problem with California, New York or any blue state separating from the right wing controlled states is that those right wing states rely so heavily on the tax dollars collected from to Democratic states that they could never allow them to separate. Where would they get their money from?
Yet Colorado Springs was somehow fine. The author must not know a lot of the evangelicals left COS for Idaho.
tHe rEliGiOuS rIgHt lol.
The religious left isn't much to talk about.
Neither is the religious right, but you losers never seem to shut up since you need the steawman
Who are the 'losers' you are referring to? The American public, Democrats, the media, or just anyone you don't like?
The people like you who use made up scapegoats like the religious right to broadly dismiss dissent without having to actually make a grounded argument and defend your position
Who exactly do you think was clamoring to overturn Roe?
and/or
Have you ever even heard of The Handmaid's Tale?
A whole lot of people, typically referred to as the pro-life movement. Not exclusively one or any religion.
Yes. It's a mid tier piece of fiction that basically gets used in the same way as people unironically spamming "literally 1984" whenever the government does something.
You don't honestly believe there are a lot of atheists and admissions in the pro life movement. Even you know that's not true.
That sounds like a no, you're not familiar with it beyond a quick Google when I called you out. Since that's what started this whole discussion I'll help you out. A bunch of religious extremists (the religious right that got your jimmies all rustled) take over the government.
So really, you responded like a toddler to someone who mentioned a fictional event because you were butthurt about their characterization of a made up extremist group. I bet your parents are proud of you.
Lol cope and seethe. Go make up more religious boogeymen to avoid defending your abysmal ideology
Google Phyllis Schlafly
Google ligma
The religious wrong.
