To give an example of what I'm thinking of...Kingdom of Loathing, Lioden, Flight Rising.

What are some others? I'm sure there's entire genres of browser-based games I've missed.

Oh boy, unfortunately most Flash games aren't playable on the web yet, else I'd be name-dropping like 200 games.

Everyone has to play Sonny 2 at some point. It's a genuine masterpiece of turn based RPGs despite being a 14 year old flash game. The atmosphere is amazing. The music is banging. The build variety is immense.

All the blue elephant games like This is the only level and Achievement Unlocked are also classics. Many of them don't work on Ruffle yet though.

No-one has to die is a story-driven choose your own adventure that's surprisingly good.

I could go on and on but for a start you should all try these!

You can use ruffle to play flash games. ActionScript 2 support is pretty good. ActionScript 3 is kinda hit or miss.
