I'm curious if this is a common thing. For me there are many such games. I hardly play games at all anymore, and when I do it's mostly singleplayer indie titles. Yet for some reason I can't stop myself from engaging with a lot of games I used to play.

CS:GO for example. I haven't played it for years and have no real intention of coming back, yet I still find myself watching youtube videos, following the patch notes and engaging in online discussions. And it's far from the only example for me.

Any weirdos out there that do the same?

For me, it's dead or dying live services I suppose. Like Spacelords, and Paladins. They are "games" that frankly treat their players like pay pigs and I'm not interested in all that. I still happily discuss the world and characters though.
