Ah yes I want the problem to persist so things can get even worse in the place I live, that makes total sense.
Then don't get mad when people talk about how it's a problem when democrats don't run honest primaries, when they deign to run them at all.
They'll get mad at you and me for pointing out actions with our words, but treat their words as gospel and their actions as things that just naturally occurred without any motive behind them.
Energy single time someone does this, I just block them. If they want to defend the party that sold us all out 3 times in a row, they can donate to the next fundraiser.
You lost the plot a long time ago. We're talking about how shitty the party is and Gavin Newsom is specifically. You have an interesting interpretation of the conversation.
It's cute you think the party has only sold you out 3 times though.
When did I do that?
How about you don't jump in to demoralize every chance you get. Try to come up with solutions and ways forward. We all know things are fucked we're just not apathetic whiners who see no way out and want to spread our apathy to others.
I'm pointing out the first significant hurdle that needs to be overcome if we want to change anything.
You're just mad because you don't want that problem solved.
No you're not, you're just complaining. If there were anything actionable or useful in your comments I wouldn't have responded to you.
But again, why do you think I don't want "that problem" solved. It would benefit me for it to be solved.
So where are your solutions? You have to have a perfect solution for everything before you admit anything is a problem, or you must shut up because reasons.
I'm working in real life to organize which is a hell of a lot more useful than trying to demoralize progressives online. I tell people as often as I can, especially my trans and bipoc friends; now is the time. Get a couple guns (a long one and a short one) and learn how to use them. Learn some basic first aid, you really just need to know how to stabilize someone. Start networking with like-minded people in your communities. The police will not protect us, they’ve proven they’ll happily club senior citizens to the ground and shoot any protesters in the face with rubber bullets while escorting a rightwing murderer to safety.
Iran was a secular, liberal state until almost 1980 when they (mostly legitimately) elected an Islamist theocracy; it could happen here.
Get to know people in your community. Take an interest in growing food, learn how to fix things. Get a gun (or two) and learn how to use them. Establish secondary lines of communication and start preparing. Put in the work instead of suppressing people who are on your side.

Ok, and how will becoming a prepper get the party to start holding trustworthy primaries?
That's what you took from that entire statement?
OK then, I think I've discovered the problem. Have a nice day.
Yeah, I'm not willing to pretend that untrustworthy primaries are trustworthy, and you consider that a problem.
If arguing against strawmen makes you feel good then you can continue doing that. I know righteousness feels good but you're completely missing the point.
I pointed out a problem. I admit I don't know a solution for it, but I consider the party's lack of credibility to be the most immediate problem it needs to overcome in order to pose a serious threat to republicans.
So, I asked what your solution was, and you were like "I organize! Be a prepper! Mutual aid!" None of which actually address the problem we were talking about.
How do we restore trust in democratic primaries? I mean, besides telling anyone who notices the problem to shut up?
Now that's actual real question that contributes to the conversation.
I'll tell whiny little crybabies to shut up all day long if they're not contributing shit. You should try it, it's harder than snarky thought-terminating cliches but you can make actual progress that way.
It's core to everything I've been saying so far. So what's your solution? I don't have one, which means I must be silent about the problem. But you surely have a solution, right? You need solutions to talk about problems, or you're a whiny little crybaby who isn't contributing shit, in your words.
Organize offline, meet people in your community, shitposting online isn't going to do anything. Reference my previous comment, organize locally with like minded people and start preparing for things to get really bad.
ORGANIZE IN REAL LIFE AND STOP NAYSAYING ANY ATTEMPTS AT PROGRESS.
Nope, you demanded concrete steps from me. I want them from you. "Talk to people in your community and become a prepper" isn't a solution, it's a dismissal. It does nothing to restore trust in the party, but that's not the idea. The idea is silence.
Organizing and acting is how you accomplish goals.
That you see organizing and establishing community as "dismissal" and "prepping" speaks volumes.
We've made great strides locally, what used to be a "queer hiking group" is now talking about secure communications and organizing a range day soon. We're making actual progress and forming a support network for our friends and families. But yeah I'm not doing anything and your demoralizing progressive voters online is going to accomplish a lot.
Edit: I can give you more concrete steps if you'd like. If you're willing to give me a rough geographic location I can probably even locate existing group(s) around you that would likely be receptive to help
We're talking about a specific goal here, or at least I am. How do we get from mutual aid community gardens and goin' to the gun range, to reliable primaries?
You organize and push policies you want. Push for RCV, push for candidates that'll support what you want, show up to protest with your peers. You organize petition drives and collect signatures. Community organizing is a field all it's own and there are a dozen ways to engage but engaging is the critical part. There are other steps to take that organization will be important for but I'm not going to start fedposting. Being organized is the only path forward.
