I'm slightly talking out of my ass but I remember a while back that Elon was basically buying up a bunch of mentions and cameos in popular shows. This was one and the other that springs to mind is his appearance in rick and morty. Cringe and poor taste? Absolutely. But this blunder may not have been 100% on the writers
