Fucking asshole.
Your climate policy is why LA is burning and will continue to burn. Nice carbon extraction economy you've kept there, Joe.
Also your military industrial economy is supporting a genocide. Great economy, Joe.
How did you expect him to get any meaningful climate policies through the Republicans in Congress?
As if he tried? He is pro-fracking. Its his policy.
yeah four more years of trump would have had us much better off like we will be four years from now. good is not good enough. we need worse.
Absolutely exhausted of democrats doing what they warned Trump would do, but it's somehow less bad because they did it. They deserved this loss. I've voted democrat my whole life, (except third party once) including in this last election, and all we've got to show for it is years of sliding right while the democrats say "hey, you shouldn't criticize us, because at least we aren't republicans." Fuck that, Republican policy doesn't taste better from a Democrat. I wish catastrophic failure in every election on the DNC until they pull their heads out of their asses.
I mean they don't do what is warned of trump doing unless you use the vaguest of terms and my main reason for voting for them is I have lived under democrats and replublicans since carter (well before that but I was to young to remember) and we have consistently lost ground under republicans and gained it back and occasionally moved forward under democrats. I want universal healthcare but im glad for obamacare. I want more environmental regulation but im glad we have some. Things like no surpise billing was a nice addition to obamacare while kicking out the mandate while popular has had noticable negative side effects with insurers and providers. I like a more stable government that collects tax to pay for its spending. Im not wild about the idea of stimulating the economy by only tax cuts and cooling it down by only interest rate increases. I don't know what you are smoking but the democratic policies sure as heck have tasted better than the republicans. I do not hope you get your wish of total republican dominance in elections. I can't image what it would be like now if we had gore over bush and more carter and less reagan and clinton over trump. You will be ecstatic to know things will be going your way for the next four years. Hope you like it because I sure won't.
I won't like the next four years at all, which is why I want the Democratic party to get its ass beaten so badly that there can be no question, no justification, no bullshitting about abandoning their courting moderate Republicans and corporate centrism. As I said in my original post, it's what's costing them elections, and they frankly don't deserve to win with what they've been fielding when the order of the day is drastic change. The very next person in the DNC who blames the voter base needs to be taken out back and beaten with a roll of quarters. That kind of thinking is going to all but guarantee that the 2028 DNC platform is going to be "well, at the concentration camps, we'll play messages telling everyone how very sorry we are to be doing this to them" and "well, yes, we're not changing much, but did you see that we're going to make it illegal for your health insurance company to spy on you with drones (unless you've signed a waiver (the waiver will be required to receive coverage))." I want them to stop being the party of whinging about being the lesser evil and start being the punk rock party of fucking up fascists and crony capitalists.
oh yeah. get their ass beaten and get a few constitution changes and oh man things will be so much better. It like if things get bad enough then surely we will see a revolution or reversal just like how north korea or russia got so great. Any time we choose worse over better we create a worse future rather than a better one. There is no magic sudden upset that hass been seen in the past. Those were relatively isolated incidents in history. In addtion its from a time were pockets of diversity could happen. The problem with the dems don't respect their base line is it ignores all good things and tends to gloss over history. isreal. cluster fuck. always has been. the expectation that the us is going to massively change its middle east policy in a way that has never been done before. almost zero. now universal healthcare. that could happen but not if we vote against it every other time.
Nah, miss me with that shit. I don't want a communist revolution. I want to have options besides voting for Republican Party 1 or Republican Party 2. That's the strategy that the DNC has settled on, and I hope that it fucking blows up in their face as long as they embrace it. It's a bullshit strategy that isn't supported by data (but is supported by big donors, so I guess it's cool to lose as long as the ca$h keeps coming), and everyone loses in the long run. Democrats being yesteryear republicans isn't better, it's just the same bullshit on a longer fuse.
I mean that is fine but I still find I like some improvement over going backwards and I very much doubt any replacement is going to somehow be way better. I really feel people want a magic answer. Progress is not easy or sudden. It requires going for the best as often as possible. You and I disagree a lot though and see things differently. I still can't believe what biden got done in one term in one of the worst conditions a democratic presidency has had as far as the rest of the government was. He still ranks as the best one I have experienced in my lifetime as far as what he had to deal with. For me basically biden then obama then clinton then carter then bush senior then reagan then bush junior then trump. I just do not believe the dems will blow up and be replaced by something we have never seen historically. Now I can believe that the republicans could blow up and revert back to the way they were back before the 80's and in turn that would force the democrats to go more left to distance themselves from what the republicans do. The problem to me is your trying to blow up the wrong party. Get rid of the most rotted out pieces and replace and eventually the bridge will be decent. Don't replace the least worn pieces first and work your way to the worst.
I don't think we disagree as much as you think we do, tbh. I mean, sure, if I could wave a wand and make the GOP implode, I'd do it without a second thought, but I can't. I don't want to vote for the GOP or their policies, and I don't want to see them succeed. That's why it's so frustrating to see the DNC deciding that instead of offering a meaningful alternative for people to go and vote for, they're just going to, against all reason and evidence, consider their base locked in and try to court moderate Republicans instead. They're both shuffling to the right AND giving away elections by doing that. This last election, Kamala flipped 1% of Republicans. Joe flipped 5%. They might as well be vying for the Sasquatch vote. It seems to me like it'd be much better to try and give the huge swaths of no-votes a reason to show up to the polls.
I don't think they are vying for republicans at all. Its just they are a centerist party. A stability party. So they are gradual and more traditional in their methods. The problem that I see is that they end up having to spend half their time just repairing things which makes it hard to progress. The democratic party has primaries and we are deciding the canidate for our locality. People don't have to wait for folks to come to their door for signature. They can find someone they like getting signatures or run themselves. Money is an issue with elections but that is something that will not go away if the democrats go away and its always going to be something we will have to contend with.
They're both capitalist assholes hell bent on destroying life for profit
capitalism is a spectrum and if your going to have it either way (like in an election with no other canidates) you should go with the one thats more socialist even if by a bit.
Who said anything about voting? I'm didn't say someone shouldn't vote for Bidin. I did say that Biden is an asshole with blood on his hands.
