People's Temple (the Jonestown folks) moved to ~~Guatemala~~ Guyana. There's also Colonia Dignidad in Chile and Joao de Dios in Brazil, although he's homegrown. Then there's all the Mennonites currently setting up farming communes in the Amazon.

Bolivia isn't part of Central America, nor the other countries listed (Brazil, Chile, Guyana). I think you meant Latin America?

Yeah, these are all South American countries which I was aware of and why I was surprised about Central America being a destination.
