I mean... You could put them in some dirt and hope they come back. I've taken branch clippings from mine and done just that to great success! Looks like you gotta free Jade plant there!
Jade are so easy to propagate. You're right, stuck it in some potting soil and neglect it for a while.
I just found it funny that a plant I love as a houseplant is just detritus in California.
