Summary

Shortly before polls closed on Election Day, Republican nominee Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that there was “cheating” in Philadelphia, adding “Law enforcement coming!!!”

The Philadelphia Police Department and District Attorney Larry Krasner responded, stating there was no evidence to support Trump’s allegations.

Krasner invited Trump to provide any factual basis for his claims but noted no such information had been provided.

Meanwhile, shares of Truth Social’s parent company saw volatile trading, leading to three halts in trading on Tuesday.

This is disgusting, how can so many Americans look at this man's antics and think a single positive thing? A criminal, rapist, liar, narcissistic, selfish, easily manipulated, hate monger, moron but the exit polls say "oh Trump would be best for the economy" like are you fucking kidding me? The guy with the plan to slap a tariff on every other thing? The guy who can't string together a coherent speech for the economics club? What a joke this all is, and here I am absoltuly physically sick about it. I'm sick because it actually matters, it does, it matters and it's so damn close this fucking clown could be in power again, after killing so many people, after taking women's rights away, after all of it, and because what? Voters remember cheaper bananas or some shit? Fuck this life.

Because his base have felt that the system was rigged against them for so many years (think “swamp” from “drain the swamp”). And one of the basics of grifting is to endear yourself to your mark(s), which Trump does a very good job at. So these people see his rhetoric, actions, and things he says as the same things they’ve been wanting to do or have done for years. To them, it’s been a long time coming.

The system is rigged. Rent keeps going up, wages stay the same. The world is going to shit, and people are feeling increasingly desperate.

Along comes a smooth talking con man who tells them all the problems they're facing, it's the immigrants' fault, it's trans people's fault, it's the woke left's fault, it's whatever target he paints next. He knows they're scared and angry and he leverages that fear to tell them that only he has all the answers.

And they're desperate enough to believe him.

Except the US didn't lose a war, and it's its own oligarchy that's bleeding out the country, not foreign powers.

Although foreign powers are definitely sticking some blades of their own.
