Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Wait, women participating in women's sports is an issue?
How did this suddenly take a turn from helping you 'detect' the asshole in the conversation?
And... If you maybe get banned so often, and you're scared to use 'harsher words', maybe you're unaware that you're the arsehole? Maybe?
Look in the mirror. Reflect.
You are in a little bubble where only one opinion is allowed. Relax. Chill. Then maybe when you release all this kneejerk irrational hatred and vitriol, you will be able to have an independent thought.
I won't hold my breath. Bye.
0 opinions stated, my dude. Science is not a matter of opinion. Classic bigots, thinking their biggotry is just "an opinion". Muh freedom of speeych!
Yeah, you're a "do your own research" boy, I can see that. Good luck living "outside the bubble", weirdo.
