Problem with the forward facing camera on Pixel 4a not focusing (lemmy.world)

I've tried cleaning the lens, and tapping, but the camera just won't focus and all of my pictures end up being blurry. Any advice on how to troubleshoot this?

EDIT: yeah probably not related, the 4a doesn't have a laser auto-focus component that is separated like on this photo:
