Remember when the US gov bailed out GM and didn’t bother to like, take any ownership stake in it?

On top of being incredibly evil, this country is incredibly stupid

Indeed, nationalizing strategically important companies that fail would be the sane approach. Instead, the US pumps public money into them while keeping them private.

it is not stupidity when it is intentional, it is easier to understand once you accept that the political leadership is loyal first and foremost to their donours
