A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Its a lot easier looking at a beautiful person these days and not feeling a bit of jealousy knowing there is a decent chance they would vote for fascism. (lemmy.world)

I really can't tell. Did I flush the trump supporters out with this post? Are people so offended that a beautiful person could be a NAZI? Or am I just too blunt and to admit I don't go around imagining everyone is morally upright really makes people uncomfortable. Aka I'm an ass. Let me know cause I've said some dumb shit but this one hit a nerve.

For the record, the number of die hard MAGAs is smaller than that, it's just a subset of the gop. Then consider that a lot of MAGAs are duped into just thinking "oh, he jokes a lot, but he's a businessman so he'll do a good job!"

So the number of actual outright fascists is going to be pretty small when we weed out the people that just fall for their promises and lies. We need to distinguish between a fascist and a fool.
