More expensive helmets aren't safer, cause they all have to pass the same safety tests.
They are however smaller, lighter, better-looking and have better ventilation.

So in the real world, they do protect you better, cause you're more likely to actually wear them every time you ride.

Conclusions are similar to this video from Berm Peak channel, that could find goof helemts (in terms of protection) at low price.

However he advises to be aware of the existence of helemts on amazon that would not protect at all!

If only that were true here on "third world" countries too - here you can get helmets made of paper-thin plastic and cheap styrofoam in whatever bike shop and mall. Even those are being sold for kids.

Styrofoam is the most important part of any helmet, from professional motorcycle racing helmets to kids bicycle helmets. They like to make it sound fancy by calling it EPS or 'expanded polystyrene'. It's what slows down the impact.
