Mine has to be Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime, a DS spin off of the Dragon Quest series that sees you playing as a slime operating a tank and rescuing the people from your town. You run around the overworld, collecting items to use as ammunition and saving money to upgrade your tank. The art and music are just as great as you'd expect from the Dragon Quest series. It made fantastic use of the DS's dual screens. It's also written for a younger audience, so a lot of it is just really silly and fun! Try it out for sure, I'm so sad there's no sequel :(

Mystical Ninja Goemon on the N64. I bring it up in nostalgic conversations about GoldenEye and Ocarina, but no one ever knows what I'm talking about. That game got so many things right, including the soundtrack.

Goemon was my gateway drug into the world of longplays on youtube. Just scratches all the right nostalgic itches. 1 on the soundtrack; bangers.

This is a video game me and an old friend regularly nostalgia bind about, we never figured out the controls for the big robot. We rented the game for a week, had to return it when we were right at the end. Next time we rented it we went through the whole game in a day or two. getting to the final fight before his dad turned the N64 off (we didn't have a save cartridge). Lost all motivation after that.

Go go go!

I loved this game! Haven't thought about it for years now, but I remember it felt really great playing it. Have to see if there is an emulated Version available somewhere. Thanks for reminding me of this gem.
