Cool, now do Trump. I want to see a comparison of how many times Trump has lied or misled followers to the number of times the Harris campaign has done this. I think if the numbers are 1:1 we can all agree it's intentional. What if the numbers are 5:1? 10:1? At what ratio do we agree that mistakes were made by overzealous campaign staff? Without comparison numbers, this article is meaningless.

This is such a ridiculous deflection. Trump lying enough would make it the more plausible interpretation that whatever Kamala said that was blatantly false was actually a string of accidents? On what basis? Someone lying more does not mean that someone else who says fewer falsehoods is less likely to be a liar. It's just an excuse to say "But Trump!" like voteblues always do whenever someone questions their team.

That or the wring their hands about how "It's tough but we need to support them anyway"

Oh, I get you. This is kind of like how Trump will do "even more genocide" than Kamala. Big number is worse than smaller number. It's cool if Killer Kamala lies 100 times and kills 40,000 Arab children, Trump is going to lie 120 times and kill 42,000 Arab children.

You are very good at dogmatically supporting your political football team and not sounding like a complete child.

Thing is that everybody knows Trump is full of shit, and frankly none of his supporters care. Meanwhile, democrats are the ones who pretend to care about facts. Yet, here we see clear as day that they're just as morally bankrupt as Trump in practice, and so is anybody who continues to carry water for them.

My point is that Trump lies so often that it's easy to forget to actually check on what you're reporting. Like the first piece reported in that article... Yeah if someone sent you just that clip and you see him referring to the wrong State, you might just accept that and post it without looking at the rest of the rally and realizing he was referring to something else. It's easy to forget that Trump isn't always full of shit.

That's a pretty absurd rationalization. The whole point of claiming to care about facts is that you hold yourself to a higher standard instead of just going on feels. Meanwhile, the article makes it clear that it's not just one oopsie, but a systemic pattern of lying on the part of Harris campaign.

Personally I’d prefer if the campaign and party that keeps caterwauling over how much more rational, composed, and committed to truth they are than Trump would stop acting like Trump in both word and deed. It would really make their deranged, existential fears about “democracy” being “under attack” seem more credible.
