Anyone with a ten year or older account has seen the decline of Reddit and hopefully has moved on now. My account was 12 years old, I deleted my content and was still lurking on boost until it stopped working now. When I get time and the motivation I will logon and delete my account. It is refreshing to try something new and I am enjoying Lemmy world a lot so far. With boost for Lemmy coming the future looks good.
I have an 17+ year old Reddit account that I started just a few months after reddit offered accounts. I've seen it grow, seen things turn sideways in many ways. But, things come and go, and perhaps it's Reddits time to wither and die.
I came to Reddit after Digg turned in a clusterfark , so I am glad there is a new site that seems to be more in touch with what users want. I just hope it can be maintained and made profitable for those who devote the effort on it.
