Mostly false, liberalization for the USSR, for example, took place much latee.

That being said, China today is communist in name only.

The PRC is officially Socialist with Chinese Characteristics. Why do you say it is Communist "in name only?"

The only communist country experiencing food shortages, if not famine, is North Korea.

DPRK had food issues in the past but has largely overcome them. They have since rebuilt after the US bombed them into oblivion.

No need for theory when empirical evidence is clear as day. Stop repeating communist propaganda and see reality without turning a blind eye .

You do need theory, and you do need empirical evidence. You have neither.

Do you think I am somehow especially susceptible to spooky scary Communist Propaganda and not Capitalist propaganda, or do you think it's more likely that I've done my reading on the subjects and actually know what I'm talking about?

Have you considered that your viewpoint aligns exactly with the US State Department?
