Use Liftoff for Lemmy!
I just made the switch from Jerboa (unreliable) and Connect (missing features and unreliable). Liftoff seems to have everything I want from a Reddit-adjacent website.
+1, I tried Jerboa, Connect, Lemmotif and Summit, all were very bad in their own different ways. Found Liftoff and it's almost perfect. And since people started to post actual content, it's actually becoming a worthy shiddit replacement.
+1 for Liftoff, it's treating me really well so far
I like the Thunder for Lemmy app. (Not the real name.) That's the way I found the GitHub on Google.
I got lift off when jerboa was acting up. Jerboa has been fine for a week or so now and I'm using it nearly exclusively. Will jump to boost once it's released.
The only thing that made me bounce off of liftoff was the fact, that there was seemingly no way to block a community.
Absolutely essential feature to me as I like to browse all from time to time and tailoring it to my needs is something I can't live without.
If you click on the name of the community (in one of their posts in "All") it'll take you into that community, and you can then click on the "vertical 3 dots menu" in the upper right corner, where you'll have the option to block that community. You can then just swipe left to go back to "All" from there
I'm trying Liftoff rn for the very first time and this method seems to work (for me at least).

I found it.... I'm dumbfounded. I swear the last time I checked, I was disappointed to only find 2 options there: "nerd things" and something else.
User error.
But thanks to everyone who pointed it out to me and made me check again! :)
From the community main page you tap the three dots top right of the screen and choose "block community".
I jump out to a browser to block communities, then open up wefwef and refresh and it's immediately reflected
Jerboa has had a few updates. Been solid since.
I'm using wefwef for the time being, but I'll check it out!
If you want a listview that fits more than 3 posts on-screen at a time, you're SOL tho.
Yeah I tried about 5 apps and Liftoff is the best
I think that the lemmy.world instance had problems with the influx of users, not really Jerboa. I've switched to a smaller instance and it's rock solid.
