This simply cannot be a serious question. The entire premise is blatantly disingenuous, and absolutely asinine to anyone who has coherent thought processes about American politics.
I do not agree.
The duopoly is bought and paid for by the owner-class, while also supporting and funding another genocide.
You’re entitled to that opinion, I guess. But, to borrow what you said: I do not agree.
And I don’t think that many rational people agree either. Seriously, how is it possible to think this when Trump’s policy will likely entail carpet bombing Gaza and the West Bank with a few squadrons of B-52s? Will you admit that Trump is objectively worse in this regard before or after the land is “freed up” and he breaks ground on his new beachside Trump Tower Gaza?
VP Harris has done nothing to stop the bombing and funding of Israel; Trump will continue the status quo.
They both talk, but it is just more pandering to the working class.
I am not for Trump or Harris, so I see no reason to defend or try to showcase the lesser evil, while both are undeniably evil, IMO.
Trump setup up a U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. Wtf are you going on about? This is such a stupid conversation to be having. Of course Trump is worse for Palestinians.
And Biden never moved it back. More Dem ratchet effect in action
Biden sucks on foreign policy. Trump would still be worse.
Still can't imagine what's worse than genocide. All the money and weapons the US has supplied to Israel will let them finish the job before the next president is sworn in
Wow, great point, Harris, who as VP has zero actual authority over national policy, should stop the bombing and funding of Israel. Also, I’m sure that, even if it were possible for her to do that herself right now, it’ll definitely have no negative repercussions on the outcome of the elections that AIPAC is throwing metric fuckloads of money at.
For real dude, pull your head out of your ass. I am 100% on board for taking people to task for their policies and actions when warranted. It’s not warranted here vis a vis Harris, because she has specifically not articulated her position on Gaza in detail because she doesn’t want AIPAC to give all of their money to Trump and thus lose the election. You are ignoring (admittedly infuriating and undemocratic) systematic constraints. Pretending that a system isn’t subject to the constraints that it operates under is a great way to ruin said system.
And before you say “maybe we should ruin the system”: no, that’s accelerationism, and it’s a stupid idea. It is possible, though difficult, to evolve the system. And that’s what good and rational people are trying to do. Maybe try to adopt some pragmatism and be part of the solution instead of just shitting on Harris before you actually have a reason to shit on her and her policies. Like, oh I don’t know, call your congresspersons and emphasize your emphatic support for stopping the genocide. Go to protests that you think will make a difference. There are plenty of ways to pragmatically move the needle in the right direction without trying to sap enthusiasm and misrepresent the policies of the presidential candidate that is, to be crystal clear, probably our last, best hope at this point for avoiding descent into fascism. Not to mention: if you want money (from AIPAC, as well as all PACs and megadonors) out of politics, your best shot is Harris, not some 3rd party candidate who will absolutely, definitely not win.
Stop being a part of the problem.
Oh yes, do tell us all that power that the Vice president of the United States has over the actions of Israel.
Netanyahu won't listen to President Biden but I'm sure that if Kamala sent him a snapchat he'd stop the bombing immediately.
The false equivalency you're making is to use a word: asinine.
VP is useless position then, no influence whatsoever.
Force ceasefire and stop supporting funding of genocides, Israel is done without US backing.
I guess you will also say president has no power...
Congratulations on learning a bit of how the world works, the TV Show Veep only pointed that out explicitly, every single episode, for 6 seasons.
"Both sides are just as bad" is why half the women in the country don't have access to reproductive health. Harris and the Dems, while not perfect, are at least sympathetic to the plight of Palestinians. Blinken is working to get a cease fire as best he can. But I am sure your moral high ground in being uncompromising with your support of Gaza will comfort you when Trump opens concentration camps in our own country for the undocumented. The "dictator on day one" won't give a shit at best and it could be the last election your vote is even counted. You think the police are bad at protests now? Wait till he declares martial law and you are staring down the barrel of millitary M4s. We can't help anyone outside this country if we lose what little democracy we have left.
I can say sentences unrelated to what's being discussed too ya know.
There, now we've both said edgy sounding sentences that have nothing to do with whether or not Trump is going to crueler, callous, and more evil than Harris.
Interesting.
Trump and Harris are both evil.
They will continue the status quo.
Evil is not a motivation nor incentive, it's a childish black and white label that tells you nothing about how the world works nor helps you change it.
