Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Georgia’s GOP-controlled State Election Board is poised to adopt a rule on Monday that would give county election board members an additional avenue to delay certification of election results, potentially allowing them to throw the state’s vote count into chaos this fall.

A former Fulton County election official who submitted an initial draft of the rule told ProPublica that she had done so at the behest of a regional leader of a right-wing organization involved in challenging the legitimacy of American election systems. That organization, the Election Integrity Network, is led by Cleta Mitchell, who helped orchestrate attempts to overturn the 2020 election and spoke on the callin which former President Donald Trump demanded that Georgia’s secretary of state “find” him 11,780 votes to undo Joe Biden’s victory.

The Election Integrity Network’s role in bringing forward the proposed rule has not been previously reported.

Fuck the unAmerican, unpatriotic assholes for cheating and stealing the very foundations of our ideals. This is what happens when these people weren't held accountable for January 6th and the first attempt to overthrow our government. If they had been held accountable, they would not be able to hold government positions and oversight positions over the very things they tried to overthrow. They should have been charged with felonies and lost their right to vote, quite honestly.

We've depended upon the courts to prevent the next insurrection, but they see either already corrupt as we're seeing with the SC, or they're toothless due to lack of precedent in this.

We're sleep walking into another civil war and the result will not depend upon right or wrong, but will be dependent upon who wields the power and weapons. We can't depend upon the government or the military doing the right thing as trump will get rid of all the barriers that existed 4 years ago.
